Cardinal Timothy Dolan has unveiled a mural by Brooklyn artist Adam Cvijanovic, the largest artwork ever commissioned for Saint Patrick’s Cathedral. Titled “What’s So Funny About Peace, Love, and Understanding,” the work honors Our Lady of Knock and generations of immigrants whose faith helped shape the city.

“America’s Parish Church rejoices as art and beauty again charm these walls,” Cardinal Dolan said at Wednesday evening’s unveiling, noting the cathedral’s enduring role as a spiritual home for New Yorkers past and present.
