In today's first reading, Saint Paul tells us everything passes away, even the great things in life. However, in the Gospel Jesus speaks of what will endure. 23 years ago, we saw a bit of each, didn't we? On 9/11, we saw thousands of innocent lives lost, but we also saw noble, heroic virtue.
