On Tuesday, June 13, The Sheen Center for Thought and Culture in Manhattan held a screening of writer/director Joseph Lovett's Children of the Inquisition.

It is a feature-length documentary that examines the fascinating and little-known history of the “conversos,” Jews who converted to Christianity – many of whom were coerced or forced to flee – during the Spanish and Portuguese Inquisitions (1478-1834).

The screening was followed by a panel moderated by Reverend Ryan Muldoon, S.T.L., and included Rabbi Professor Ronnie Perelis, artist Carlos DeMedeiros, and author Professor Thomas F. Madden.
